This approach is especially relevant to some sites, where the topography requires engineering expertise to ensure the home has precisely the most appropriate foundation for what follows. This light-filled home’s fresh ideas began below, where 30m3 of concrete pier and strip footings tied the structure to its hillside setting. Such significant groundwork allowed the spaces above to soar, to capture sights and form a stunning connection to the surrounding bushland.

The term ‘mansion’ has many connotations, and the definition occasionally requires clarification however creating and constructing a home of major, majestic proportions is a challenge we are always happy to accept. This project reflects significant heritage influences. Traditional spaces are used where the objective was to achieve grandeur that wasn’t grandiose. 

The scale and the size are significant, not simply to make statements, but instead to ensure family success. Dual living and dining domains are nestled amongst five bedrooms and five bathrooms. These elements have been folded into a design that updates the notion of mansion into a spectacular yet entirely user-friendly contemporary form.
